The Original problem
what would you do if you had to hang out at home for a year?

WE MADE A KNIFE 〰️
Over covid19, two of our founding members took on the gargantuan undertaking of making a field-ready knife with almost zero experience and a almost zero budget. Nevertheless, these dudes learned CAD, 3d modelling, bought two CNC machines, built a heat treat oven (from scratch), researched metallurgy, bought a thermoforming machine, inhaled so many fun and novel particulates, and sucked up enough fiberglass fumes to come out on top. The Hammerheart knife is the ultimate answer to the question, what would you do if you had to hang out at home for a year.
The design of the hammerheart is specific to problems we encounter in the entertainment industry. The billed hook of the blade is designed for cutting rope and trickline, with a 10 gauge wire bender on the back for making bailing wire goodies. The flat top of the blade is intended for scraping tape and tape residue, and the pommel of the knife doubles as a hammer for when you don’t have one of those.
Due to the massive frustration factor of making this knife and the now-lack of free time by interested parties, only three Hammerheart blades were ever created. THAT BEING SAID: if you have the means to make these at a medium or large scale, PLEASE hit us up. We would love to see these out in the wild in the hands of stagehands and grips everywhere.
